The ongoing federal government shutdown is impacting funding for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). If the shutdown is still in effect on Saturday, Nov. 1, families will not receive their monthly SNAP benefits.
Students who are enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program will continue to receive nutritious breakfasts and lunches at school.
We know that some families in our school community are facing uncertainty and concern over the imminent loss of benefits. We encourage families to seek support from local and statewide organizations.
