Six seniors from Middle Township High School will proudly receive their associate degrees from Atlantic Cape Community College days before crossing the stage for their high school graduation.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ – Six seniors from Middle Township High School are getting ready to graduate with the rest of their class on June 17. But they will have an extra feather in their graduation cap when they flip their tassels.
The six students from the 225-member Class of 2024 have already earned their associate’s degrees on May 16 from Atlantic Cape Community College through MTHS’s prestigious Early College Program.
Atlantic Cape hosted Tyler McDevitt, Mason Blizzard, Brooke Nabb, Hannah Barrett, Thomas Barber and Carmine Fuscellaro along with hundreds of other graduates for the annual commencement ceremony at the Mays Landing Campus.
The six seniors will also be honored during a Middle Township Board of Education meeting to celebrate their academic achievements.
“Our Early College program offers students a chance to exceed traditional educational opportunities,” said MTSD Superintendent Dr. David Salvo. “Under the guidance of our dedicated staff, these students not only gain valuable skills but also carve out distinctive paths for themselves, with unique experiences they might not have had otherwise.”
Come fall 2024, McDevitt is bound for The College of New Jersey, ready to take on a civil engineering degree and hit the baseball field. Blizzard is gearing up for Stockton University, eyeing business administration and baseball. Nabb will dive into biochemistry at La Salle University, juggling her studies with lacrosse. Barrett’s heading to Montclair University for elementary education. Barber is southbound to the University of Tampa, studying political science and pre-law. And Fuscellaro will stay close to home at Rowan University for accounting.
Atlantic Cape Community College and Middle Township School District formally partnered in an Early College High School initiative back in 2019. This partnership has since provided numerous Middle Township students with an innovative way to earn both a high school diploma and a two-year associate’s degree (or up to two years credit toward a bachelor’s degree) in the time it takes to go to high school, saving the students both time and money.
