SUPERINTENDENT VACANCY

The Middle Township Board of Education is seeking applicants for the position of Superintendent of Schools.

Middle Township is located in Cape May County, NJ.  It has five schools, PK-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and a Recovery High School.  The enrollment is 2664 students.  Students from Avalon, Stone Harbor, Dennis Township and Woodbine attend the High School as part of a sending-receiving program.  Middle Township is a Choice School District for students in grades 6-12.   High School students also have the option of attending the Cape May County Technical School.  The students are served by 425 staff members and supported by a budget of 57 million dollars.

The Board is seeking a permanent Superintendent of Schools who has teaching and administrative experience at the Pre-K to 12 grade level.  The successful candidate must have demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and implementation.  Knowledge of and experience in supervision and evaluation techniques with a focus on improving student performance will be required.  School finance and budgeting knowledge are desired.  Middle Township is a diverse community who takes great pride in their schools, so experience in community involvement activities is important.  All New Jersey certification requirements must be fulfilled.
